Not all organic farming practices are sustainable. In many cases, it can be just as harmful as conventional methods, especially when done at an industrial scale.
Large operations often rely on heavy machinery, too much irrigation and inputs that wear down the soil over time. This kind of farming tends to prioritize short-term yield often at the expense of biodiversity and soil health.
We look for partners who do things differently. Farms that use lighter touch practices to help rebuild ecosystems. These include planting cover crops, utilizing underused spaces, producing their own compost, reducing tillage and installing support structures for wildlife. It's a slower and more expensive way to farm, but it’s better for the soil, the trees and the ecosystem they support.
We’re also working to keep our footprint low by cutting waste, recycling and opting for materials that are easier on the planet.
